(BWD) has been a uniquely Canadian focused
designer, marketer and manufacturer of outdoor
apparel and gear serving the Specialty Outdoor
Retail Market. By 2005, with the
removal of apparel quotas in all WTO countries,
the company transformed itself, focusing on
design, sourcing and marketing.
Our customer service goal is to
be 'Easy To Do Business With' (ETDBW),
which we do with personal, bilingual customer
service representatives and living up to
our commitment to deliver quality product
on time. BWD is an authentic outdoor company
and as such has implemented the GreenPrint
program. This is designed to reduce the
footprint we leave on the planet, to practice
and promote a harmonious relationship between
our business world and the outdoor world.

Product lines sold exclusively
in Canada include apparel, tents and sleeping
bags under the Sierra Designs (SD) label; and under the Ultimate
Direction (UD) label, hydration packs and
adventure gear.
Sierra Designs is a Top 3 outdoor
brand in the Canadian market while Ultimate
Direction is growing at astounding rates.
UD complements SD by adding another premium
brand for the existing BWD customer while
expanding into the running and fitness industries.
The company also operates the Trip Outdoors
retail banner.
